]]> Nonwovens as a contraceptive? Nonwovens preventing HIV? It could happen if things go well for researchers at the University of Washington. The University was awarded $1 million USD from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to pursue their concept and the technology needed to make their innovation come to fruition. The researchers are going to buy an electrospinning machine and spend the next year experimenting with antiviral drugs and a hormonal contraceptive. Stay tuned.
