Ahlstrom introduces new fuel filter media

Ahlstrom + Eastman = new filter media. Ahlstrom took the opportunity at IDEA13 to reveal what it has been working on lately and it comes in the shape of filter media (Captimax). Made with the new microfibers from Eastman called Cyphrex. With their new filter media, Ahlstrom is promising high efficiency and high capacity along with the added benefit of protecting fuel injectors. Check out this video they posted to YouTube. Cool.

After divesting and demerging two of their business units (wipes and label/processing), they are looking to become more dominant in the European market. Ahlstrom to Divest Label & Processing Business Area

Ahlstrom is getting leaner . . . by demerging their Label & Processing Business. Last year, they divested their wipes’ business and now they have further streamlined their operations by having Miksjö AB take over the label and processing business to create Munksjö Corporation.
