Ahlstrom introduces new fuel filter media

Ahlstrom + Eastman = new filter media. Ahlstrom took the opportunity at IDEA13 to reveal what it has been working on lately and it comes in the shape of filter media (Captimax). Made with the new microfibers from Eastman called Cyphrex. With their new filter media, Ahlstrom is promising high efficiency and high capacity along with the added benefit of protecting fuel injectors. Check out this video they posted to YouTube. Cool.

Revolutionary Eastman Cyphrex Microfibers Unlock Unlimited Possibilities for Product Performance, Quality and Value for Specialty Nonwovens

The word revolutionary conjures up images of cutting edge technology, like computers, cars, spacecraft, cell phones and even Facebook. Eastman wants you to add their new microfibers to the list. They unveiled their latest innovation at IDEA13 and it is called Cyphrex microfibers. These microfibers are less than 5 microns in diameter and can be engineered with different polymers and you also have a choice as to the cross-section shape. Very interesting.

Eastman Expands Capacity for Regalite Resins

Doing their part to ensure a healthy growth rate for the hygiene industry, Eastman has partnered up with Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Company to produce their current product, Regalite. This added capacity will help Eastman meet the increasing demand for raw materials in China . . . and you can see what the outlook for China is through 2016 in an upcoming China report to be released by INDA this coming September.
